Creative Imagination

Creativity lies in the expression of ideas, emotions, and individual perceptions. Once upon a time I saw a fingernail moon smile, and since then it has become my avatar for imagination and creative energy.

Barbara Kolberg is an illustrator, author and narrative storyteller. She works in a variety of mediums both traditional and digital.

She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from California State University Fullerton. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and Society of Illustrators Los Angeles. She teaches digital art in Southern California. Inspiration comes from classical art and literature, general observations, and most often, musings of an overactive imagination.

Fingernail Moon Studios manages the business, marketing, and publications for the art of Barbara Kolberg and Eclipse Illustrations.
